• Other amenities close to the cottage, the Vincentia shopping village has all the essential requirements, a liquor outlet, newsagents, ATM’s, Veterinary surgeon and a Brumby’s bakery. The shopping village also has “Bi-Lo” operating till late, where you can obtain all your grocery needs.
  
  
• Sanctuary Point, Vincentia and Huskisson have good al-a-carte restaurants catering for all types of cuisine, and at all of these locations, there are fast food outlets, from “Pizza to Chinese” and not forgetting the traditional “Fish and Chips”.
  
  
• The Sanctuary Point Country Club has all the amenities of the big city clubs.
  
  
• The Cottage is situated approximately 700 meters from the Sanctuary Point boat ramp, which has ample car parking facilities. Just around the corner from the boat ramp is Palm Beach.
  
  
• The “Basin” is a great fishing haven, since the demise of professional fishing in 1997. The stocks of fish are on the way up and good flat head are in abundance.
  
  
• There are several sites within ten minutes of the cottage, the jetty at basin view, and further around at St George’s basin which is another popular spot. You are also only ten minutes away from Vincentia and Jervis bay proper offering good beach fishing.
  
  
• Situated close to the boat ramp is quiet and calm Palm Beach, it is a shallow sandy beach just perfect for the little ones. Plenty of shade and picnic tables. Take the kids around just on dusk, all you need is a “dolphin torch” and a net and let the kids go catching the prawns that come up close to shore to feed, great fun.
  
  
• Fishing licenses can be obtained from the Sanctuary Point and Vincentia village centers, the Shell Service Station, Huskisson and close to Palm Beach is “The Sails” where you can obtain a license and of course fishing gear and bait.
  
  
• For the surfing side of the family, good waves can be found at Huskisson and Vincentia beaches. Alternatively about a fifty-minute drive South will bring you into Ulladulla the surfing capital of the South Coast.
  
  
• For the golfer in the family, the Sanctuary Point Country Club has a challenging 18- hole course, just 5 minutes from the cottage, and Vincentia Golf Club that overlooks Jervis Bay is 10 minutes. Both locations would require booking at the clubhouse pro shops.
